NAVA = North Atlantic Videogame Aficionados. This is a FREE event bringing gamers together for competition, trading, and chatter.

Previously at NAVA...
- We celebrated Christmas a bit late. Christmas isn't over until we say and finally we say.
- The arcade challenge was POPEYE. The high score winner Michael A put up the high score of 19640 on a very challenging cabinet, earning the coveted "arcade champion" $20 gift certificate.
- At 6pm we held our annual "regifting" grab bag event. Many videogame toys were exchanged by various anonymous Santas.
- Gamers, collectors and friends shared their recent adventures and sold or traded their goods.

In This Month's NAVA: What is Megalophobia? Megalophobia is defined as "an intense fear of large objects, that can cause extreme feelings of anxiety and panic attacks when anticipating or being in the presence of large objects. This can lead to the avoidance of certain situations and environments and may cause a severe decline in quality of life. LET'S EMBRACE THIS. In our version of Megalophobia, we will play games where you're a tiny character in a large world setting. Think Army Men, Micro Machines, Pikmin, Katamari Damacy, Shark Shark, etc. and you'll have the right idea. Let's PLAY BIG at this NAVA!

Arcade Challenge: On Megalophobia Day, the insects rise up! You are one such insect. Or maybe an insect-shaped craft. Regardless, everything is out to stomp you out... you are INSECTOR X. Are you the biggest tiny bug? Put up the best score on this game by 9pm and win a nifty $20 gift certificate. Arcade challenge games are set to FREE PLAY all day, but please remember to let everyone get a shot. If you get the high score, move on, and no hogging the game! Also if you have won last month’s arcade challenge you are not eligible to win this month’s challenge.

6PM Tournament: Codemasters came up with the ingenious idea of turning the RC gaming style into a game where you're driving a tiny car on real-world real-size settings. It's MICRO MACHINES. Who is the biggest driver of a tiny vehicle? Sign-ups begin at 3pm, the tournament starts after 6pm in this first-come, first-served and as always at NAVA, FREE-to-join tournament. Winners receive a $20 gift certificate!

Remember, you can bring a box or two of your trade goodies. We'll help you administer sales and get you set up somewhere in the store to sell your goods, there is no charge for this perk, NAVA is the time for trading! Also, if you have a Digital Press or NAVA t-shirt, wear them for a for an additional 5% discount on the store's already low-low prices!
